We moved this winter (December 2007) to a bigger
and better place - not just for our family but for our dogs too! We had a bit of a rough start, but are pleased that our
new Dawg House is complete.
We created our own design and had Robb's Portable
Building's build our building for us (they did EXACTLY what we wanted- yea!). Then we designed our runs and had
Ed of 'Critter Cages' perfect and build our indoor pens and gates. Tracy Wilson helped me work out the plumbing
I wanted and Rost Ready Mix poured our concrete while 'friends and family' (I love you guys... Ron, Billy Joe, Eric
& Joseph) did all the back-breaking work (ie. digging, laying rock, framing, smoothing, etc.). --THANK YOU to all
those who helped make my dream come true!
They have air-conditioning and heat and I can hose down the concrete several
times a day, rather than picking up poop [kids and I are doing the happy dance] this will also help keep them
cool in the summer.
We learn from our mistakes... We originally bought linolium for the inside floor, but a
few of our babies decided to see how it tasted. I guess they thought it tasted pretty good so we had to rip it all up.
I decided to use Grizly Grip (truck bed liner) on the floor of the building (and to seal edges) - it worked great! It's
not as pretty, but it is textured so the dogs don't slip on it and it washes up good.
I really love my dogs and want them to have the best I can
possibly give them. They've blessed me and my family with much love and those precious puppies YOU love!
Thank you
for checking out my website! -Robin
